Taco Pie from vsreed
I've been motivated to cook lately - so I have a few favorites I have resurrected. 
Yields four servings.


2 lbs ground beef or ground turkey
2 taco season packets
1 medium chopped onion
2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

4 ready made pie crusts (in refridgerator section)


    1. Brown the ground beef, 
    2. Saute onions and add to beef along with the taco seasoning.
    3. Place one pie shell  in the bottom of each eight or nine inch deep dish pie plate.
    4. Fill with the meat mixture and top with one cup each of tomatoes and cheese.
    5. Top with second crust and cut small wholes in the top crust. 
    6. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes and turn down to 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Baked pie can be frozen.
